We are proud of the renewal partnership between UVC/CEC and STET !

Paris La Défense / Brussels, December 12th, 2023

STET and the Centre for Exchange and Clearing in Belgium (UCV/CEC) are pleased to announce that they have renewed their processing partnership until 2029.

Since the start of their collaboration in 2012, STET has been providing clearing and settlement services to UCV/CEC for all payment orders. In 2022, UCV/CEC processed over 1.4 billion SEPA and Card transactions and 148 million Instant Payments. These volumes underline the succes and strength of the partnership between the Belgian banking community and STET.

As the management of UCV/CEC was in Paris for a series of workshops with various STET teams, Geert Van Antwerpen, President of the UCV/CEC, and Régis Folbaum, CEO of STET, signed the renewed Framework Agreement between the two entities.

Régis Folbaum declared: “I am both pleased and proud that STET and its teams got to be granted, again, for a third time in a row the business from UCV/CEC. I want to thank UCV/CEC for their trust-based partnership and commend the work of our respective teams. In the next five years, we will continue to work jointly with UCV/CEC and face together the challenges such as ISO 20022 Migration, transforming payment ecosystem and rising new SCT Inst usages triggered by both the launch of EPI / Wero as well as the upcoming European regulations, while ensuring compliance with Belgian law under NBB oversight.”

Geert Van Antwerpen added: “By renewing this partnership, the Belgian banking community confirms its trust in STET and its employees. The cooperation of the last 10 years has created a solid basis for offering a high-quality and efficient payment system to Belgian banks and their customers. Together, we are ready to take on the challenges that lie ahead in the next 5 years.”
